West Haddon Nature Trail
WEST HADDON SUMMER WATCH NEEDS YOU!
The Parish Biodiversity and Sustainability Group needs you and your families help and assistance to audit the parish as to what habitats we have sharing our community with us.
We would ask that when you are out and about, perhaps with your children or grandchildren over the forthcoming summer holidays, you take the time to collect a map from the church porch area and identify on the maps evidence where perhaps wild animals e.g. rabbits / badgers / deer are making their homes or seen in our community; trees of significant interest, beauty or in your view importance; butterflies and birds – and identifying what species they are (if possible) and when and where they were seen – and anything else that you feel adds to the biodiversity and beauty of the community.
Photographs will be welcomed of any birds / butterflies / animals / flowers / trees or just general nature and beauty – please forward to firstname.lastname@example.org
We would also appreciate you identifying on the map areas which you feel require protection or, indeed, sharing your ideas as to where you feel further trees or wildflowers could be planted – even areas where you feel grass cutting may not be required to promote biodiversity and wildlife in our community.
Maps can be collected from and returned to the church porch once you have completed your audit – the deadline for return of maps is 31st August 2021.
Thank you for taking the time to survey your community.
